Speech About Deforestation

Peace be upon to whom I respect, the Minister of Environment and Forestry and their staff, the Governor of South Kalimantan and their staffs, District A Community Institutions, ladies and gentlemen, and all those who have taken the time to come to the 1000 planting charity event tree, in this 2020 Kalimantan Forest.

In line with the rampant illegal logging, as well as the phenomenon of the burning of most of the tropical rain forests on the island of Borneo, let me give a Short Speech on the Importance of Maintaining Forest Sustainability for Human Life.
Forests are wild areas covered with large and small trees and other plants, and are inhabited by many diverse species. The function of the forest is actually very much. Apart from being a Home for thousands of species of animals and plants, the Forest also has several functions and other benefits for life.
For functions, including the Aesthetic Function (beauty), Orological (erosion prevention), Climatology (climate regulator), Hydrological (water storage) and Strategy (versatile in various ways). Thus, its role is so calculated for human survival on earth.
While Forest Benefits include Conservation of Germplasm, a large oxygen provider, carbon dioxide absorbers, climate change countermeasures, overcoming flooding and preventing erosion.
From the series of functions and benefits of the forest above, motivation and intentions should emerge for us, to continue to maintain its existence and presence in the Land of Borneo, rather than actually destroying it by cutting down wildly, burning to sustainable hunting aimed at enriching ourselves, or certain groups.
Hopefully, with the innovation and reforestation that we will do today, it can be used as a benchmark to change the mindset of people, the importance of vast and dense forests, for every life on earth.
Thus, a short Speech on the Dangers of forest destruction. May we all always maintain, care for and protect forests in Kalimantan, and Indonesia.
